TNT is nearing an order for Frank Darabont’s "LA Noir," reports Deadline.com. The project, Darabont’s follow-up to "The Walking Dead," should receive an order after executives screen it in July, the story notes.

The show is based on the true story of the LAPD’s fight with mobster Mickey Cohen, the piece adds.

TNT may also renew all four current series, including "Rizzoli & Isles," freshman program "Dallas" and "Falling Skies." "Franklin & Bash" had a ratings improvement this week, but TNT may watch the show for another week before making a decision, the story says.
