The actress who was set to play Casey Anthony in Lifetime’s movie project about Anthony and the death of her daughter Caylee has dropped out of the project and has been replaced, People magazine reports.

Canadian actress Holly DeVeaux dropped out of “Imperfect Justice” a week into filming, the story reports. The decision was described by a source as mutual. Said the source: "This is one of those decisions that happens all the time. Holly was good and very talented; it just didn’t work."

The part of Casey Anthony was recast with actress Virginia Welch, who has appeared in independent films and commercials, the report says.

The project also stars Rob Lowe, who will play prosecutor Jeff Ashton, and "The Office" star Oscar Nunez as defense attorney Jose Baez, the story notes. Lowe is also a producer on the project.
