The popular WNBC-TV anchor Sue Simmons will sign off from the New York station on June 15, reports TVSpy.com.
As previously reported, WNBC opted not to renew her contract earlier this year. Simmons, 69, has spent three decades at the station and won four Emmys since starting there in 1980.
She will sign off for the last time on WNBC’s 11 p.m. newscast next Friday, the story notes. Simmons is on vacation this week.
