BBC Worldwide Networks’ president is leaving the company as it restructures, Deadline.com reports. BBC announced today that Jana Bennett will exit the company.
Bennett has been heading up BBC Worldwide since February. She was previously director of BBC Vision, responsible for overseeing the company’s TV networks, for eight years, the story reports.
BBC has indicated the restructuring will include reorganizing Worldwide’s five global divisions into seven geographical regions, the report notes.
Bennett, who will leave the company later this year, said: “I am delighted to have grown the BBC’s international channel portfolio at a time when global markets are so highly competitive and to have brought quality British programmes and events to new audiences around the world.”
