This Sunday, July 29, 2012, marks the fifth anniversary of the death of TV news personality Tom Snyder at age 71. Besides anchoring local newscasts in both New York and Los Angeles, he became a national personality by hosting "Tomorrow with Tom Snyder" on NBC from 1973 to 1982, and then "The Late Late Show" on CBS from 1995 until 1999.

I was a big fan of Tom ‘ColorTini’ Snyder since his days at NBC’s ‘Tomorrow’ following Johnny Carson and at CBS where he hosted ‘Late Late Show’, I could not stand his replacement by the plastic Craig Kilborn whom as far as I’m concerned, nicknamed him Craig ‘Stillborn’ Kilburn – very happy when Craig Ferguson replaced him! As to Tom Snyder, I regularly went up to his website wishing he’d make it back to late night television. However, that was not to be. Enjoyed the Teddy Bears he had on his set. Tom was a true talent that left us too early!
