FX announced a couple of key programming moves over the weekend — renewing a sitcom and expanding the order for a late-night show, B&C reports.

"Louie," the comedy from Louis C.K., has been renewed for a fourth season, while the network also ordered additional episodes of the new late-night show "BrandX with Russell Brand," the story reports.

Network President John Landgraf made the announcement at the Television Critics Association press tour on Saturday.

"BrandX" received an order for seven additional episodes, along with some fine-tuning of the format. When the show returns in October it will reportedly more closely resemble a traditional late-night show, including having guests every week.

B&C adds: “Brand also said it would tone down the rhetoric ‘rather than being so nuts-out anti-establishment,’ changes that he saw as necesary to fit into the existing late-night landscape.”

"Louie" will return for a fourth season of 13 episodes, the story adds.
