CBS Drama Cuts Most of the Cast From Previous Season

A CBS drama that beat the odds by getting picked up for another season after it had already been canceled will undergo some significant cast changes, Deadline.com reports.

“Unforgettable” was canceled in May, but later resurfaced with a 13-episode order for a second season. Stars Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh have been locked in, the report notes, along with Jane Curtin, who joined the show midway through season one. Those three actors were considered essential to bringing the show back.

“As for the rest of the series’ regular cast, none is expected to continue as producers are evaluating the show’s creative direction,” the story reports.

Daya Vaidya, a regular on the show during the first season, tweeted earlier this month: “CBS made some creative changes and the supporting cast will not be returning next season. Yea, Nina, Roe, Mike and Tanya r gone.”

She was referring to characters played by herself and by other season one regulars Kevin Rankin, Michael Gaston and Britt Lower, the story notes.
