Bill O’Reilly Notches Ratings Milestone as Third-Quarter Results Are In for Cable News

Bill O’Reilly’s top-rated Fox News Channel show "The O’Reilly Factor" marked a milestone with release of the cable news ratings for the third quarter, TVNewser.com reports.

The show ended its 50th consecutive quarter as the No. 1 program in cable news, based on total viewers, the story reports. Fox News, meanwhile, continued to dominate cable news during the third quarter, claiming all of the top 10 programs, reports TVNewser.com.

Fox News gained 6% from a year ago in total prime-time viewers during the quarter, although it was down 11% in prime time among viewers 25 to 54, the story notes. The network’s daytime programming continues to draw younger viewers, with almost every time period posting gains in the 25-54 demo, the piece adds.
