Former NBCUniversal Ad Exec Lands at Univision — With Other Former NBCU Execs

Spanish-language broadcaster Univision is reorganizing its ad sales unit, and it seems as though having NBCUniversal on one’s resume is a plus for those interested in being a part of it.

Advertising Age reports that the latest to make the jump is Steve Mandala, formerly head of cable ad sales for NBCUniversal. Mandala will take over as Univision’s executive VP of ad sales.

He joins a prominent former NBCUniversal exec in Randy Falco, now CEO of Univision. Also making the move recently was Keith Turner, a 20-year NBCU veteran and longtime associate of Falco, who went to Univision in August as president of sales and marketing.

Mandala previously worked for Spanish-language broadcaster Telemundo. At Univision he will oversee direct-response sales, sports sales and broader client-development duties.
