Lindsay Lohan’s father staged an intervention for the troubled starlet on Friday, reports TMZ.com. Her father, Michael Lohan, and several other people showed up at her house Friday afternoon, acting on the belief that she has fallen off the wagon, the story says.

Michael Lohan told TMZ.com that he believes Lindsay has surrounded herself with "a bunch of alcoholics and drug addicts."

He also said her team was on board with the intervention, the story adds. The police arrived after someone called to report trespassing, and the cops and her father left her house soon afterward, the piece notes.

The report adds: “We’re told Lindsay was at the house when Michael and team arrived, but someone claiming to be her boyfriend shooed them away. The ‘boyfriend’ told TMZ Lindsay was inside and any problems Lindsay has will not be solved by her father.”

According to a later TMZ story, Michael Lohan plans to go to court to get a conservatorship for Lindsay, although he doesn’t want himself or Lindsay’s mother, Dina, to become their daughter’s conservator, the story notes. He has reportedly discussed the situation with a lawyer.

“Michael told the lawyer the first thing he will do if there’s a conservatorship is convince the conservator to send Lindsay to rehab, without the influence of the other people in her life,” the story reports. “Michael says every time Lindsay has been to rehab — including at Cirque Lodge and Betty Ford — ‘She went in dirty and didn’t come out clean,’ and he blames it on the people in her life who helped fuel her addiction.”
