NBC took another win in the Nielsen overnights for Monday, powered by a strong performance by the two-hour “The Voice,” TVbytheNumbers.com reports.
The singing competition was the top show of the night ith a 4.7 average rating in the key demo of viewers 18-49 — a slight improvement on the 4.6 the show delivered a week earlier. NBC’s “Revolution” continued to show strength too, despite a slight dip to a 3.1, down from a 3.2 last week.
CBS was mostly up from a week ago, including a 3.7 average in 18-49 for “2 Broke Girls,” up from a 3.5 last week. “How I Met Your Mother” dipped slightly to a 3.2, off from a 3.3; “Partners” was up one-tenth to a 2.2; “Mike & Molly” rose two-tenths to a 3.1; and “Hawaii Five-0” climbed two-tenths to a 2.2.
ABC’s two-hour “Dancing with the Stars: All Stars” was even with a week ago, delivering a 2.1 in the 18-49 demo. The Alphabet Network got good news at 10 p.m., with “Castle” up three-tenths of a ratings point to a 2.2.
Fox came in well behind the other big 4 broadcast nets, settling for a 2.0 average rating in viewers 18-49 for “Bones,” down from a 2.1 a week ago, and seeing the already low-rated “The Mob Doctor” slip a bit more, down to a 0.9 average from a 1.0 last week.
For prime time overall, NBC finished with a 4.2 average rating in viewers 18-49, easily outpacing CBS (2.8 average), ABC (2.2), Univision (1.6) and Fox (1.4). ABC took a win in total viewers, averaging 12.4 million to 11.1 million for NBC, 8.7 million for CBS, 5.3 million for Fox and 3.8 million for Univision.
