Showtime has placed a third-season order for "Homeland," the drama starring Claire Danes and Damian Lewis, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker.

The pay-television network ordered 12 new episodes of the show, which recently cleaned up at the Emmys, including winning outstanding drama series. Both Danes and Lewis also won Emmys.

Showtime reports that “Homeland’s” current second season is receiving the series’ biggest ratings yet, the story adds. Danes stars as a CIA agent who suspects a returning POW, played by Lewis, may be part of a terrorist plot.
