Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks had an embarrassing moment during a live appearance this morning on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” accidentally dropping the F-bomb, People magazine reports.

The incident took place when interviewer Elizabeth Vargas asked Hanks to speak as one of the characters from his new movie, “Cloud Atlas.”

Hanks warned her: "Mostly it’s swear words." But then he went into a thick accent and said: "I want people to f—ing …" — then he suddenly stopped himself, covered his mouth and apologized, while Vargas also apologized.

Said Hanks: "Man oh man, I’m sorry. … I have never done that before. I would apologize to the kids in America who are watching this right now, and … next time on the show there will be a seven-second delay."
