Cesar Millan, known for his Nat Geo Wild show "The Dog Whisperer," said he attempted suicide after his 16-year-old pit bull died and his wife filed for divorce, reports People.com.
Millan talks about his suicide attempt in "Cesar Millan: The Real Story," which will air Nov. 25 on Nat Geo Wild. In August, he wrote that the events of 2010 — when his dog, Daddy, died and his wife of 16 years filed for divorce, left him "at the lowest level I had ever been emotionally and psychologically," the story says.
He survived an overdose, and instead turned to work and exercise to help recover, the story says. He also soon met a woman named Jahira Dar, whom he calls “the one,” the piece reports.
