The creator of "Downton Abbey," writer Julian Fellowes, will host a new show that will tour the great mansions of England called "Julian Fellowes’ Historical Houses," reports Deadline.com.

The two-part program, which will air on ITV in the U.K., will be a production of NBCUniversal International Television’s Chocolate Media. Besides touring the homes, the show will tell the backstories of the families who lived in them.

"The archives are rich in their stories and I have been on the trail of just a few of these," Fellowes said in a statement about the new series.

"Downton Abbey" is itself filmed in part at one of England’s historic mansions, Highclere Castle, the piece notes.
