One of the stars of TLC’s "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" was arrested after an alleged prank on a Georgia highway, reports TMZ.com.

Tony Lindsey, Boo Boo’s cousin, was part of a group arrested earlier this month for reckless conduct after a deputy was driving along a highway at night when he noticed a "white male dressed in a gorilla suit acting as if he was going to jump into my lane of travel. I swerved into the left lane to avoid an accident with the person," according to the police report.

The deputy stopped the car and saw "several white males run up the embankment and into the woods." He warned the group he would release his police dog on them, but they yelled that they would return. When he eventually made contact with the group, the gorilla suit had apparently been stashed in the woods.

The officer said the group included five adults and two children, with the adults being booked for reckless conduct. The gorilla suit was taken into evidence, the story adds.

Police say alcohol was involved, according to the story.

  1. “Police say alcohol was involved, according to the story.” Was the officer drinking?

  2. Yes, and the pranksters were doing meth. Rural Georgia is a great place to raise a family, never a dull moment…lots of dull wits but no dull moments.
