Kim Kardashian Gets Death Threats Over Her Position on Mideast Conflict

Twitter blew up all over Kim Kardashian after she tweeted Friday that she was "praying for everyone in Israel,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The star of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" received unpleasant responses from many of her 17 million followers, including anti-Israeli and anti-Semitic tweets along with some death threats.

Kardashian, who is of Armenian ancestry, was called a disgrace to her ancestors. She tried to rectify matters by tweeting again, offering good wishes to Palestine, too. It didn’t help and she eventually removed both tweets.

The incident continued to generate buzz, with conservative bloggers among those sounding off, the report notes.

Kardashian later commented on the controversy on her blog, writing: "I decided to take down the tweets because I realized that some people were offended and hurt by what I said, and for that I apologize."
