The late BBC star Jimmy Savile committed more than 200 criminal sexual-abuse offenses at the broadcaster and in hospitals and mental health facilities, Bloomberg reports, citing a police report.

The youngest victim was 8 years old, while most ranged between 13 and 16, police said. Reports of abuse started in 1965 and lasted through 2006, when Savile’s final broadcast of BBC’s "Top of the Pops" aired.

“Savile was a prolific, predatory sex offender and the scale of his abuse is believed to be unprecedented in the U.K.,” the Metropolitan Police Service said.

The police said his final recorded offense was in 2009, when he reached up the skirt of a 43-year-old woman. His last victim at the BBC, in 2006, was a child, the story adds.
