An actress known for her role on the AMC drama “Breaking Bad” will play Michael J. Fox’s wife in a new NBC comedy series, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed.

Betsy Brandt, who plays Marie Schrader in the AMC series, joins the untitled single-camera sitcom.

The new NBC project is inspired by Fox’s life, and was given an order for 22 episodes by NBC. Fox will play Mike, a husband and father of three who deals with his family and career as a TV newsman while also coping with Parkinson’s disease.

Brandt’s character Annie is described as tough, but with a goofy side.

“Brandt joins a cast that includes ‘Wonderfalls’‘ Katie Finneran as Leigh, Mike’s younger sister; Conor Romero (‘American Gangster’) as Ian, Mike’s teenage son; and newcomer Jack Gore, who will play Graham, Mike’s youngest son,” THR reports. “’Treme’s’ Wendell Pierce will play Harris Green, Mike’s close friend and old boss at WNBC’s ‘5 O’Clock News.’”
