A syndicated talk show veteran, who is celebrating his 10th year on-air this year, has had his show renewed through the 2016- 2017 season, Variety reports.

The show is CBS Television Distribution’s "Dr. Phil," starring Phil McGraw. The show debuted in 2002.

Says the story, "This three-year extension takes ‘Dr. Phil’ through its 15th season. CBS said Thursday it has wrapped deals with stations covering 77% of U.S. TV households."

The article adds in Variety-speak, "At present, ‘Dr. Phil’ is averaging 4.2 million viewers a week and is the No. 1 yakker in daytime."
