Even with its two-hour “Biggest Loser” shedding viewers and a lackluster turnout for the new 10 p.m. drama series “Deception,” NBC had just enough to eke out a narrow ratings win Monday night.

TVbytheNumbers.com reports that NBC averaged a 2.2 rating in the key 18-49 demo for prime time, based on Nielsen overnights, finishing just ahead of ABC’s 2.1 average and well ahead of Univision (1.5), CBS (1.4) and Fox (0.9). CBS aired an all-repeat lineup while Fox put up a repeat of “Bones” and a fresh episode of the ratings-challenged “Mob Doctor.”

ABC came out on top in total viewers, finishing prime time with an average of 7.4 million to 6.1 million for NBC, 5.4 million for CBS, 3.8 million for Fox and 3.7 million for Univision.

NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” dipped to a 2.4 average in 18-49, falling 17% from the previous night. “Deception” opened to a modest 2.0, 47% below the 3.8 delivered by the series premiere of “Smash” and off 31% from the 2.9 for the fall finale of “Revolution” back on Nov. 28.

ABC’s two-hour season premiere of “The Bachelor” settled for a 2.3 average in the 18-49 demo, dropping 4% from the 2.4 delivered by the previous season premiere a year ago. It was the lowest-rated season premiere in series history. “Castle” rose to a 1.9, 12% better than the 1.7 for the previous fresh episode back on Dec. 3.

Fox got 0.9 averages in viewers 18-49 for both the “Bones” rerun and the new episode of “Mob Doctor.”
