Alabama beauty queen Katherine Webb, who became a part of a minor controversy after ESPN broadcaster Brent Musburger emphatically expressed his appreciation for her during the BCS National Championship Game, has been getting plenty of offers since then, the New York Post reports.
Among them, she is reportedly being courted by ABC’s "Dancing with the Stars.”
As we reported previously, Webb — who is Miss Alabama USA and the girlfriend of Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron — drew the attention of TV cameras while she was in the crowd during the Jan. 7 football championship showdown between Alabama and Notre Dame. She also caught the eye of Musburger, who gushed over her to the point where ESPN later issued an apology.
Now the 23-year-old is fully immersed in her 15 minutes of fame, including sweeping through New York last week for a shoot for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She currently lives in Los Angeles, but was reportedly overheard saying she plans to move to New York to pursue her modeling career.
Webb was overheard saying she had been offered a spot in the upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars,” a source told the Post, but Webb reportedly did not indicate whether she would accept the gig.
Webb also has reportedly been hired by the syndicated entertainment show “Inside Edition,” and will provide on-air reports for the show from the Super Bowl.
