NBC will try to keep viewer interest in its freshman drama "Revolution" by rolling out animated webisodes during the show’s winter hiatus, reports EW.com’s Inside TV.

A new webisode will debut online every week through Feb. 18 on NBC.com, YouTube and Hulu and via VOD. NBC is also airing a version of the pilot online that includes commentary from director Jon Favreau and showrunner Eric Kripke.

The six webisodes are based on letters written by a character who led Miles into a trap set by General Monroe, the piece adds.

“Revolution” returns March 25.
