Starz Developing What It Calls a ‘Gritty,’ ‘Unflinching’ Ballet Drama — and They Mean It; Show Has ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Reservoir Dogs’ in Its Bloodlines

Starz is developing what it calls a "gritty" and "unflinching" ballet drama, reports New York Magazine’s Vulture blog.

The untitled show tracks a ballerina with a dark past who joins a New York dance company. "Breaking Bad" co-executive producer Moira Walley-Beckett and Oscar-nominated producer Lawrence Bender ("Pulp Fiction," "Reservoir Dogs") are behind the project, and both are former ballet dancers, the story notes.

"All your gross-out gnarly-foot-pain-porn dreams/nightmares are about to come true," the piece adds.
