A new comedy series will feature cast members from two long-running NBC hits, “Cheers” and “Seinfeld.” Deadline.com reports that TV Land has picked up the Kirstie Alley project that was titled “Giant Baby” in its pilot phase.

The series, which will be renamed “Kirstie’s New Show,” received a 12-episode order and will roll out in fall 2013, the piece reports. In addition to Alley, a “Cheers” veteran, the show features fellow “Cheers” cast member Rhea Perlman and “Seinfeld’s” Kramer, Michael Richards.

“Created by Marco Pennette, it revolves around Madison ‘Maddie’ Banks (Alley), a Broadway star who finds her life turned upside down when Arlo (Eric Petersen), her long-lost son, turns up looking to connect after his adopted mother dies,” Deadline reports. “Perlman plays Maddie’s assistant and best friend; Richards plays Maddie’s outlandish limo driver.”

Said TV Land President Larry W. Jones: “This cast is a TV Land dream team of stars. Seeing them all together is truly mind-blowing.”

The series is the culmination of a two-year effort by TV Land to put together a show featuring Alley, the story reports. It is executive produced by Pennette, Alley and Jason Weinberg, Alley’s manager.
