A new comedy from "Scrubs" and "Cougar Town" creator Bill Lawrence and former "How I Met Your Mother" and "Friends" executive producer Greg Malins is having the finishing touches put on a pilot order from TBS, reports Deadline.com.

The project, "Ground Floor," will be directed by Gail Mancuso, the story says. It was first developed last season and received a pilot production commitment at CBS, but wasn’t made.

"Ground Floor" is about a 29-year-old man in corporate America who realizes he’s not as happy as he thought he was when he comes across his company’s support staff, who are described as carefree and happy.

Lawrence and Malins might bring in an executive producer and showrunner because both are working on other projects: Lawrence on Fox’s "I Suck at Girls" and NBC’s "Undateable," and Malins on the CBS/Sony TV comedy "Jacked Up."
