An Academy Award-nominated actress has been cast to co-star in the NBC pilot "About a Boy," based on the Nick Hornby book and the 2002 movie, reports Deadline.com.

Minnie Driver will play Fiona, the eccentric single mother who lives next door to Will, a single man-child who can’t maintain a romantic relationship, the story says. Her role was played by Toni Collette in the film.

This is the second NBC comedy pilot for Driver, who received her Oscar nomination for her work in "Good Will Hunting." Driver starred in the NBC pilot "Lady Friends" last year, the story notes.
