The actor who will be seen as President Lincoln this weekend in “Killing Lincoln” on the National Geographic Channel has been cast in Fox’s drama pilot “Delirium,” TVLine.com reports.

Billy Campbell, who’s known for his role as Darren Richmond in the AMC series “The Killing,” will play Thomas Fineman in the new dystopian Fox project, the story reports.

“Delirium is “set in a world where love is deemed illegal and is able to be eradicated with a special procedure,” TVLine reports. “Thomas is a wealthy lobbyist who supports the use of the procedure, which leads to a peaceful society free of the ups and downs of romantic entanglement. Despite his good looks and perfect image, though, Campbell’s character can be reduced to unbridled rage during times of trouble.”

As previously reported, “Delirium” also stars Emma Roberts, the niece of superstar actress Julia Roberts. Emma Roberts plays “a defiant teen who falls in love 95 days before her scheduled treatment,” the report notes.

The project is based on a series of young-adult novels by Lauren Oliver.

The report adds: “The pilot’s script was written by Karyn Usher (‘Prison Break’), who will serve as an EP alongside Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope.”
