Ann Romney Reveals Who She Blames for Her Husband’s Election Loss

Mar 4, 2013  •  Post A Comment

Ann Romney gave her explanation Sunday for why her husband, former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, lost the election, TVNewser.com reports. The revelation came during an appearance by the couple on "Fox News Sunday."

"It was not just the campaign’s fault," she said. “I believe it was the media’s fault as well, in that he was not given — being given — a fair shake, that people weren’t allowed to really see him for who he was.”

She added, “I’m happy to blame the media."

Ann Romney also noted that she was asked to appear on ABC’s "Dancing with the Stars,’ but although she said she loves the show, she turned it down. "I would have loved to have done it, but I am turning 64, and I am not really as flexible as I should be," she said, according to the story.

  1. Yes it was the media’s fault for reporting the fact that Mitt took no solid stand on any issue and changed his stand on EVERY issue depending on who was aking the question. So for that I say “Thank You” media for showing there was no there, there.

  2. Yeah – it was the media’s fault for finding and running that video about the 47%. Shame on them for not allowing them to show us his true self…geeze..does she even hear herself?

  3. When you live “in the bubble” you only hear what you wish to hear. Reality and facts have no place in the bubble or in the Tea Party.

  4. To be fair, it *has* been a long time since political reporters did any reporting, so it’s understandable that she feels blindsided.

  5. Whiney, whiney…just take your millions and go away! “Not flexible” any more? Tell Mitt about it! He’ll find a way to loosen you up!
Easy to pin the blame on the media…but what about Romney’s silly remarks on many subjects, transporting his dog on the roof of his car, etc.? The guy was out of the loop from the start. Republican Reptiles are losing their grip. The country is the better for it too.

  6. Keep paying your taxes and watching the economy decline. We are becoming Europe. This isn’t about parties, it is about the way the government is being run. Politicians look at themselves as the ruling class and treat themselves that way. Check the wealth that these people gain quickly after an election. How does that happen, when they are supposedly on a public salary?

To be totally fair to both parties involved… The current president went against his stances too. Remember things like “we are post racial,””no gay marriage” and “I will make transparency in government?” So far, in 8 years, the prez went away from his stance. I don’t see anyone bullying him, like they did with Romney. Ann is correct… It clearly is the media’s fault for creating the propaganda and bandwagon. This is not hate… but fact.

  8. Fact – Both Dems and Repubs… even a few independents are in the tea party. Go to meetings and you will not look as stupid as you do now. Stop being in your own bubble and looking through Rose colored glasses.

  9. Not just political reporters. It seems that “unbias” journalism is a thing from the early 80’s and before.

  10. Because you do not like a group of people… and are judgmental, do not take it out on that group of people. I thought Dems were supposed to be above that sort of thing… and love everyone.
And your comment about “inflexible” and loosening up… way too inappropriate to be posting where children can see it.
As for “pinning on the media”… who else created the “spin” on all of the candidates, excluding the president? It was not the local car wash attendant. It wasn’t the local microwave repairman. It wasn’t your local veterinarian. And it wasn’t your local telephone operator. I see no other places where there was negative spin on all of the candidates, other than their “chosen one.” Clearly it was the media. As a media worker, i saw this and publicly DID NOT condone it. Meanwhile, you probably just sat back and let the unfairness go on. NOT shocked, if that was true.
