A reality competition series that was spun off from ABC’s "The Bachelor" won’t be returning to the network this summer, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed.

Executive producer Mike Fleiss tweeted the news about the spinoff “The Bachelor Pad” to a fan on Saturday, the story says. The report adds: "It remains to be seen whether a fourth season of the slightly more raunchy sibling of ‘The Bachelor’ ever will make it to TV."

The third season of the spinoff saw a ratings slump, with its 2012 edition averaging a 1.3 rating with viewers 18-49 and 4 million total viewers, in what the story calls double-digit declines from the year-earlier summer. “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” meanwhile, both saw ratings rise during their most recent cycles, the report notes.
