One of the most successful drama series of the past decade will be back for a 14th season. The renewal for the procedural “CSI,” not a surprise, was made official in a statement by CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the contracts of stars Ted Danson and Elisabeth Shue, along with other cast members, have been extended.

Tassler said in her statement: "’CSI’ is synonymous with CBS, and we are so proud of the series’ creative and commercial legacy and its continued success on our network. The writers and producers have done an amazing job evolving ‘CSI,’ reinventing the show around an incredible leading man in Ted Danson, the acclaimed Elisabeth Shue and our beloved and talented core of original cast members."
