Former CNN Anchor Has Unkind Words for the Cable Network

A former CNN anchor, appearing before an audience at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, had a few less-than-kind words for his former network.

The New York Post reports that John King, whose 6 p.m. show “John King, USA” was scrapped by CNN last June, said in effect that there’s no point in watching the cable news channel in the morning anymore.

Said King: “If you watch CNN, I’m not picking on anybody, but if you watch CNN — 9 o’clock in the morning, 10, 11, 12 o’clock — it’s the same. It’s a single anchor, sitting in a chair, reading headlines that none of you have to turn on your TV to get — because you can get them here.” King then held up a pair of cellphones, the story reports.

King previously appeared on CNN’s Sunday talk show “State of the Union,” now anchored by Candy Crowley.

  1. John is right. You can get the same info from your cellphone and it has the same factual reliability as CNN AND Fox.
