A new ABC drama series struggled in its second week on the air and helped pull down the network’s prime-time numbers, based on Nielsen overnights.

TVbytheNumbers.com reports that “Red Widow” fell to a 1.2 average rating in the key 18-49 demo, down from a 1.5 for the premiere last week. ABC still finished a close third for prime time overall, behind CBS and Fox, with the network’s strongest show of the night being “Once Upon a Time.” The drama series held steady with last week with a 2.2. “Revenge,” meanwhile, rose two-tenths to a 2.0, while “America’s Funniest Home Videos” dropped three-tenths to a 1.4.

CBS finished in a dead heat for the night with 1.8 ratings in viewers 18-49, followed by ABC with a 1.7 and NBC with a 1.3. Fox’s demo rating, however, didn’t translate to total viewers. CBS finished well ahead of the pack in that metric with 9.8 million, followed by 6.5 million for ABC, 3.8 million for Fox and 3.8 million for NBC.

CBS was paced by “The Amazing Race” with a 2.3 in 18-49, down two-tenths from last week. “The Good Wife” slipped one-tenth to a 1.5, “The Mentalist” ticked up one-tenth to a 1.6, and “60 Minutes” equaled last week’s result with a 1.6.

Fox’s best show was “Family Guy” with a 2.6 average in the 18-49 demo, up two-tenths from its previous original. “The Simpsons” pulled a 2.2, steady with last week; “The Cleveland Show” and “Bob’s Burgers” both delivered 1.8 ratings (up one-tenth for “Burgers,” steady for “Cleveland”); and “American Dad” was off three-tenths with a 1.6.

NBC filled up its four hours of prime with a repeat of “All-Star Celebrity Apprentice” (0.8 average in 18-49) and a fresh two-hour installment of the show (1.7 average, even with last week).
