CNN’s new prime-time program "The Lead" is off to a tough start in the ratings, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed.

Four days after its debut, the show continues to trail its predecessor, Wolf Blitzer’s "The Situation Room," the story notes.

On Thursday the show drew just 326,000 viewers, the lowest viewership since its debut. The program was averaging 42% fewer viewers than the same four days in the previous week, the story notes.

“In the targeted adults 25-54 demo, ‘The Lead’ was up from its Wednesday low to 72,000 viewers — though it’s averaging a 50 percent drop from ‘Situation Room’ for the same times last week,” the story reports.

"The Lead" is CNN’s first new show under Jeff Zucker’s leadership.
