Sarah Jessica Parker, who originated the role of Carrie Bradshaw in HBO’s hit series “Sex and the City,” apparently isn’t exactly a fan of CW’s prequel.
TheCelebrityCafe.com reports that Parker expressed mixed feelings about the series.
“You know, I think it’s one of those tests of your generosity,” Parker said in a recent interview with Net-A-Porter, commenting on a new actress, AnnaSophia Robb, taking over the character. “She is a lovely girl and I want her to feel good about it, but it’s … odd.”
The series is built around a younger version of Carrie Bradshaw, played by 19-year-old Robb.
The report notes that Robb talked about her interest in the role during a previous interview with Teen Vogue, saying: "I realized it was actually a really strong story. It had a lot of heart and integrity, and Carrie seems like a character that I can grow with."
