One of the signature characters from “Alice in Wonderland” will be played by Paul Reubens — known for his alter ego, Pee-Wee Herman — in ABC’s new “Once Upon a Time” spinoff.

Deadline.com reports that Reubens has been cast to provide the voice of the White Rabbit in the new show, “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.”

The project is set in a pre-curse Wonderland and is told via the character of Alice, played by Sophie Lowe.

If the project goes to series, Barbara Hershey, who played the Queen of Hearts in "Once Upon a Time," might appear in flashbacks. Other characters from "Once," such as the Mad Hatter, played by Sebastian Stan, are also likely to appear, the story says.
