At least one vocal critic of the MTV reality show “Buckwild” has made it clear he’s thrilled that the show has been canceled. Danny Jones, the mayor of the town where "Buckwild" was filmed, told TMZ.com that he’s "relieved and happy" about the news.

Not everyone was equally delighted. As previously reported, producer J.P. Williams slammed MTV about the decision, saying it "smells of s—."

The decision to cancel the reality show came after one of its stars, Shain Gandee, died of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning.

Jones, the mayor of Charleston, W.Va., told TMZ, "I’m relieved and happy the show is canceled, and so is everyone around here. The show does nothing for us and exaggerates every negative stereotype about us."
