Not only did the MTV Movie Awards get some buzz because of Aubrey Plaza’s rushing the stage, but the show also attracted more viewers, reports EW.com’s Inside TV.

The annual awards show averaged 3.8 million viewers age 12 to 34, a jump of 21% compared with a year earlier. Overall, the telecast averaged 4.8 million across the Viacom-owned networks that aired it, including MTV and VH1.

Ratings were up 45% in the 18-34 demographic and 44% in the 18-49 age group, the story says.
