With dozens of shows about and targeted toward younger people, the ID Channel is working on a show called “Elder Skelter,” about senior citizens who commit crimes, reports the New York Post.

The true-crime show is about senior citizens who commit "cold, calculated crimes," the story says. The show will be hosted by three seniors, including 93-year-old lona Royce Smithkin, who still sings in cabarets.

“The other hosts are Joyce Carpati, 80, who worked for 27 years at Cosmopolitan and was a lifelong friend of Helen Gurley Brown, and Lynn Dell Chohen, also 80, who owns the Upper West Side’s Off-Broadway Boutique," the story reports.

"We’re always looking at virtually all aspects of crime,” ID President Henry Schleiff said. “Some we do with a little more tongue in cheek, which is kind of where this one comes in.”

None of the hosts are criminals or victims, but were recruited from photos in a fashion blog about stylish senior citizens, the story says.

Production will start later this spring. It wasn’t yet known which crimes will be featured, the story says.
