A freshman NBC drama series is likely to be renewed for a second season, according to creator and executive producer Dick Wolf, who talked about “Chicago Fire.” Wolf said he’s looking "at the remainder of this season as a jumping-off point for next season," reports Deadline.com.
Wolf, who spoke at NBC Summer Press Day, also expressed doubt about creating a storyline that would pay homage to the responders of last week’s Boston Marathon bombing.
“Dealing with terrorism is very, very tough — that’s all I’m gonna say,” Wolf said. He added, “The last thing we want to do is exploit a tragedy that is so specific that it would be difficult.”
Wolf also said he’s hoping "Law & Order: SVU" will return for a 15th season.
