Production has been shut down on a TBS comedy series after an injury to its star. Deadline.com reports that the cable channel has shut down production of “Sullivan & Son,” with the shutdown expected to last six weeks.

The move comes after actor Steve Byrne, who plays the title character, Steve Sullivan, received an injury to his face. The report cites sources saying Byrne had his jaw broken “by an irate cabbie” and is expected to have it wired shut for six weeks.

TBS and producer Warner Horizon weren’t available for comment on the incident. The show was in production on its second season.

“Production on ‘Sullivan & Son’ will resume in June, with the show still expected to make the the delivery date for a summer premiere,” the report notes.
