One of the stars of NBC’s “30 Rock” will star in a new comedy project. The New York Times’ Bill Carter reports that FX is continuing its push into comedy with a project from Tracy Morgan.

Morgan will star in the pilot for "Death Pact," which will feature the actor as a former high school coach and pot dealer. When he returns home from war as a hero, he starts a self-help group.

The order comes after FX’s decision to create a sitcom with comedian and actor Billy Crystal.
