CNN Schedules New Talk Show

CNN has scheduled a new talk show, setting the premiere for Sunday, June 9, TVNewser reports. The show is “Stroumboulopoulos,” hosted by Canadian talk host George Stroumboulopoulos.

The show will move into a Friday time slot starting June 14, the piece notes. For its premiere it will follow an episode of Anthony Bourdain’s "Parts Unknown.”

Guests on the debut episode will include comic book icon Robert Kirkman and actress Ellen Page, the story notes.

The show "is a big bet for CNN, not only because of the new entertainment-centric format, but also because it will be the first studio show that the channel isn’t actually producing itself. Embassy Row Productions, which produces ‘Watch What Happens Live’ on Bravo and ‘The Talking Dead’ on AMC, is producing the program," the story reports.
