NBCU Names New SVP of Cable Ad Sales

NBCUniversal today announced the appointment of a new senior vice president, cable advertising sales. The company named Cherie Cohen to the post.

Cohen will oversee the company’s regional sales offices in Detroit, Chicago and Los Angeles.

“Working with NBCUniversal’s entire stable of 18 cable networks, as well as the sales leadership teams from its two broadcast networks — English and Spanish — and more than 50 digital properties, Cohen will report to Dan Lovinger and Laura Molen who each serve as Executive Vice Presidents of Cable Advertising Sales for NBCUniversal,” the company said in its announcement.

Said Lovinger: “Cherie is a seasoned media executive with a successful track record working creatively across multiple assets and platforms and she will be a terrific addition to our powerful and diverse portfolio of brands.”

Molen added: “Not only is Cherie known for her leadership and team-building skills, she also is well-regarded by high-level clients and has an established commitment to developing unique opportunities for advertising partners.”

Cohen was previously vice president, multimedia sales, for ESPN.
