Who Are the Upfront’s Overachieving Producers and Writers, With Multiple Orders?

This upfront season marked successes for several producers and writers who landed multiple orders for new series, including "Cougar Town" co-creator Bill Lawrence, who unveiled three new series at the upfront presentations last week, reports Deadline.com.

Lawrence’s new shows are "Undateable" on NBC, "Surviving Jack" on Fox and "Ground Floor" on TBS. Lawrence’s "Cougar Town" was also recently renewed for a fifth season by TBS.

J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot received two new orders for the 2013-14 TV season, with "Almost Human" at Fox and "Believe" at NBC.

Independent producer Aaron Kaplan at Kapital Entertainment received two new series orders, with "Back in the Game" at ABC and "Friends with Better Lives" at CBS. His freshman ABC comedy "The Neighbors" received a renewal, while his pilot "Bad Management" at ABC is in contention for a series pickup.

Others receiving multiple orders include "The Vampire Diaries" co-creator Julie Plec and former "ER" showrunner David Zabel.
