Actress and singer Pia Zadora, known for her work in movies including the 1982 feature “Butterfly,” was arrested Saturday on suspicion of domestic battery and coercion, the New York Daily News reports. The arrest followed a disturbance at her home in Las Vegas.

“Zadora was booked Saturday into the Clark County Detention Center and released after posting $4,000 bail,” the story reports. “She was arrested about 11 a.m., some six hours after police responded to a disturbance call at her home.

“Police declined to release the name of the victim and other details, saying further information would be released Monday.”

Zadora has been married to Michael Jeffries, a Las Vegas police detective, since 2005. “The couple met after Zadora called cops to report a stalking incident,” the report notes.

Zadora won a Golden Globe as new star of the year for “Butterfly,” but was perhaps better known for “winning” a series of Golden Raspberry Awards — including for “Butterfly.” She also was named worst actress by the Raspberries in 1984 for “The Lonely Lady,” and won the award for worst new star of the decade in 1990.

She was nominated for a Grammy in 1985 for “Rock It Out.”

As a child Zadora appeared in the cult movie “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians."

  1. Worst “actress” and bad singing career but I still say she had the best promotional poster of 1981. Quite “cheeky”.
