David Yates, who directed the last four "Harry Potter" movies, will direct the pilot for the high-profile FX drama project "Tyrant," which comes from "Homeland" executive producers Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff, reports Deadline.com.

Yates replaces Ang Lee, who withdrew from the project for personal reasons. "Tyrant" is about an American family that gets drawn into the politics of a turbulent Middle Eastern country. The project will be filmed in Morocco and is expected to go to series.
