HBO has tapped an actor known for his role "The Hunger Games" to play the lead in a new Ryan Murphy drama project. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that Wes Bentley will play the lead in the pilot “Open.”

"Open" is said to be a look at the complex landscape of evolving sexuality and relationships, the story notes. Murphy and Lauren Gussis of "Dexter" wrote the pilot and will executive produce.

Bentley will play Evan Foster, a handsome but arrogant man who likes to talk about his theories of human sexuality. If the show is ordered to series, it would mark Murphy’s third show on-air, joining "Glee" on Fox and FX’s "American Horror Story."

Bentley is also known for his role in the 1999 feature film “American Beauty.”
