A key NBC show dipped to a season low Tuesday night, based on Nielsen overnights for the key 18-49 demo. TVbytheNumbers.com reports that the network’s two-hour installment of “America’s Got Talent” settled for a 2.6 average rating, losing 13% from a week ago.

But even with rival reality shows seeing improved numbers on Fox and ABC, the turnout for “Talent” was enough to deliver a prime-time win for NBC. It helped that CBS was in all repeats Tuesday night.

NBC opened prime time with two editions of “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers,” and both the repeat episode at 8 p.m. and a new installment at 8:30 delivered 1.1 averages in viewers 18-49.

Fox’s two-hour “So You Think You Can Dance” rose 14% from last week to a 1.6 in the 18-49 demo. ABC’s “Extreme Weight Loss” also improved, rising 20% from its previous original to a 1.2.

NBC found itself comfortably ahead for prime time overall with a 2.1 average in adults 18-49, followed by Fox (1.6 average), Univision (1.5), ABC (1.0) and CBS (0.9). NBC also won total viewers, averaging 8.0 million to lead CBS (6.4 million), Fox (4.4 million), Univision (3.8 million) and ABC (3.5 million).
