One of the current stars of Nickelodeon, who also has been making a mark in feature films, has been arrested. TMZ.com reports that Cody Longo, who stars in the Nick at Nite/TeenNick series "Hollywood Heights," was arrested early Thursday in Los Angeles on a drunken driving charge.
Longo, 25, was driving in Hollywood around 2:30 a.m. when the police reportedly noticed him driving aggressively, tailing a car and flashing his lights. He allegedly failed field sobriety tests, the story says.
A source reportedly said Longo’s blood-alcohol level registered as .19 and .20 on a couple of tests, more than twice the legal limit.
He was later released after posting $15,000 bail. A representative said, "This was an unfortunate misunderstanding," and added, "Cody takes it very seriously as his focus is music and acting."
Longo has appeared in films including “For the Love of Money” and “Piranha 3D,” and on the NBC soap “Days of Our Lives,” among other TV series.
